How We Replace a Furnace

Size it right. An independent company runs Manual J, S, and D on your home, so the new furnace matches your house, not the old unit’s label. Oversized furnaces short cycle, wear out early, and leave rooms uneven.

Do it safely. Proper venting, gas line and shutoff checks, a combustion test, and a carbon monoxide check at startup. You get the readings in writing.

Is a cracked heat exchanger dangerous?
It can be. A cracked heat exchanger can let combustion gases, including carbon monoxide, into your air. We check combustion and carbon monoxide on every gas furnace call and tell you straight if the furnace is unsafe to run.

Should I replace my furnace and AC together?
Often, yes, when both are the same age. A new furnace or air handler and a new AC are designed to work as a matched system, and replacing both at once means one installation and one set of startup readings. If your AC still runs R-22, replacing both usually makes sense.
